The spatial dynamics of urbanization of Nigeria since 1815 is reflected by so many changes in the country most curiously in Lagos, Port-Harcourt which was occasioned by the opening of two North-South rai lways lines. This, in turn, permitted the rapid enlargement of cash crops farming, extractive industries, their subsequent evacuation and emergence of pecking value of urban settlements (Mabogunje, 1968).
